Director and Founder of Certitude, with approximately 30 years experience in sustainability  consulting, environmental regulatory compliance, environmental and energy management system certification, and carbon markets.

Madlen has audited, verified and supported organisations across the world across a variety of sectors (aggregates, automotive, aviation, construction, electronics, food & beverage, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, power, road, rail, shipping, steel, and telecomms), in order to help them manage their environmental risks and realise the benefits of opportunities presented.

Formerly as Global Head of Climate Change & Sustainability for Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA), she designed and managed the technical delivery of all their climate change and sustainability services.

She has briefed and advised governments and international industry associations on the implementation of carbon market mechanisms and their monitoring, reporting and verification requirements. And is widely published on these subjects.
